I have recently installed Windows XP. I am the only one who uses the
computer. It is coming up to my name and a blank for the password. If I
hit OK, I go into Windows. I would like to remove this prompt and have the
computer boot into Windows as it has done for me on previous installs.

How do I remove the log on prompt????

Thanks.

Hi Stephen,

Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.
