Removing Live OneCare

I downloaded Live OneCare and Defender from the internet. I can not get rid
of them. When I try to remove these programs I get the message "cleanup
can't remove because an unistall MSI has failed". I need to get rid of these
programs as they are slowing the computer down dramatically and I can not
load Norton to the machine as I lose access to the internet.
