Is it possible to remove Internet Explorer from XP-Home?

It is fairly hard to do and not recommended.

You can remove access to IE from Add or Remove Programs/Add or Remove
Windows Components.

Do you use Windows/Microsoft Update web site? If you do, how are you going
to update your computer? Also, I am pretty sure Help and Support uses IE
engine to display web content like Windows Update.
