Removing Internet Explorer from XP

Hi, Jon
It seems that you cannot actually remove Internet
Explorer 6 from Windows XP, but you can remove access to
it from the Start Menu by going to the Add/Remove Windows
Components in the Control Panel.

It's part of the OS and should not be removed...if you
don't like ie...just don't use it to prevent trouble by
trying to remove it.

You do dot want to remove Internet Explorer.
As long as you have Service Pack 1 installed, you can use Set Program
Access Defaults to choose another browser as default.
Start/All Programs/Set Program Access Defaults
