removing dvd rom

i have a Sony Vaio Pentium 4 want to remove the dvd rom and put in a dvd
burner. . .had the casing off, and pulled the ribbon cable but there was
another set of wires in a "plug" just to the right of the ribbon cable that
i could not pull out. . .i know there has to be "trick" to it. . . didn't
want to harm anything so put everything back together and "here i am". . .
any help would be appreciated. . .thanks

To the right of the ribbon cable is the power connector
sometime these are stiff you may have to use a little bit of force
to remove them
You should also have to the left of the ribbon cable a small socket which is
the CD audio cable
connector this sometimes has a little press down catch on the cable

That cable is for analog sound. There is a small clip on the underside of
the plug which has to be depressed in order to withdraw it. Removes easily
when you do that
