removing dual boot option from menu..?

Shobee

Since I reinstalled my OS I get a menu every boot that
wants me to choose between two versions of Windows 2000.
Can I remove this menu or the non-working version from the
menu?

Someone told me to edit the "boot.ini", but it wasn't in
the root of C as I was told, and after a search I found it
doesn't exist on my computer. Any other suggestions?

Yes you can remove that option. It is in the boot.ini but that is a hidden
system file in the root. You need to folder options and configure it to
show hidden files and to not hide system files. Then you will be able to
see the file and edit it.

Oh yes it exists on your computer because if it wasn't there you would
have no "menu at every boot that wants you to chose between two versions
of Windows 2000". Open your Windows Explorer, click on the Tools
menu>Folder Options>View Tab and where it says "Hidden files and
folders" click on "Show hidden..." Then search for boot.ini again. Do
you have the proper instructions as to how to open and edit it?
