I am wondering if any one knows how to permanently remove
or lock out the perinstalled games on XP pro like
FreeCell, Hearts, Minesweeper, Pinball, Solitaire?

The users on these computers need to have Poweruser rights
and are smart enought to go to add/remove to add the games
back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,

After you uninstall the games, you can remove them from
the Add-Remove list either by using a tweak tool, like this:

1. Choose Start / Run / Copy+Paste the next line into the RUN box and press [ENTER]:
notepad %SystemRoot%\Inf\Sysoc.inf

2. Scroll down until you find the line that reads: Games=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,games.inf,,7
and add the word HIDE to the line so it now reads: Games=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,games.inf,HIDE,7

3. Use the same technique for any other items you want to hide.
