Hi. I would like to install an internal DVD-RW on my
computer that currently has a CD-RW. I removed the DVD-
RW from another computer, and I was hoping that I could
simply swap the CD-RW with the DVD-RW (no install CD).
Will Windows XP crash if I do this or will it recognize
the change immediately and automatically install the
drivers for the DVD-RW? Or is there some complicated
process at startup using the system BIOS to remove and
add hardware? Please help. Thank you.

XP MAY install the correct drievrs - it it has them. Otherwise you will have
to check the manufacturer's web site.
