Removing an OS from Dual Boot

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my computer. When I had done this before
windows had over ridden the other os on the computer. This time I have a
dual boot. How do I remove the dual boot? I would like to completely
reformat my computer as I believe I have a virus. Help please!

When you say dual boot I assume you have two or more partitions. If you're
completely wiping the drive you can remove the partitions in Windows Setup.
Reboot to the CD. When you come to the partitions section select each one and
delete them. Then select the unformatted area for the WinXP install. Done.

Boot the machine with your WinXP CD, then allow all
partitions to be deleted when prompted. You will, of course,
lose all your data files.

When "reinstalling" Windows you are asked if install is to the C:\Windows
folder (Preserving data but over riding old installation).

If you do not "accept" - setup will install to another folder (something
like Windows001) and result is two installtions
