Removing a computer from domain

Hi if a computer is nolonger a member of a domain, where
can i delete on the dc information regarding this old pc,
so as when i issue a new computer the same name it does
not say this name has already been issued.
I am running windows 2000 server

I use Server Manager and remove computer from domain.
