Removed virus klez...still lingering problems

I successfully was able to remove the "klez" virus.
Interestingly, Norton 2004 did not detect this... I was
only able to detect an remove the virus using the
symmantec klezfix utility...but that's another story.

My remaining problems are:

1) Task Manager will not start...I do not get the disable
by administrator message.

2) The User control panel is completely empty.
I don't know if this is the result of klez or not...it
could be a totally independent problem.

3)I am unable to reinstall Norton 2004 anti-virus since I
have run the Klezfix tool. Note: the lkezfix
documentation does state that Norton anti-virus needs to
be reinstalled after running klezfix.

Hoping for some solid ideas!

Thanks everyone for the help so far.

1. Scan for Viruses online to ensure no other viruses are involved:
http://security.symantec.com/ssc/home.asp?j=1&langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=IRLFIZTYMWPAZTJWUFJ

2. After #1 & #3 are done, check for damaged or missing System Files:
Start/Run
Type "sfc /scannow" ENTER
Have Windows XP CD available

3. Search for the appropriate "symclean" program to completely remove
Norton:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/

If Norton AV 2004 did not catch Klez, it was broke or disabled.

Thanks for help
