Removed e-mail address keeps popping up in outlook

In Outllook 2002, I changed an e-mail address but the old address keeps
popping up as an option when I start typing in the name of the addressee,
although it doesn't show anymore in either the address book, or the contacts
list. Obviously, this address is kept in another location to which I don't
have access the normal way. How can I permanently remove this old addy? TIA

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. If your autocomplete list contains only a single entry, use the
