Depending on your OS (which you don't reveal), you may be able to uninstall
IE6 and return to your previous version...or you may be able to overinstall
IE6 right now.

sorry for incomplete question. os is xp and there is no
item in add/remove programs. overinstall doesn't correct
the problem. I have gone to using netscape which is ok, but
would still like to be able to use IE. thanks for the reply.
