Remove Windows Messenger safely???????

Using XP Home, IE 6 and OE 6

Since Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger are listed right by each other in
All Programs, if I remove the Windows Messenger button, will I be messing up
anything on MSN Messenger or anywhere else? Or will it just remove the
button so I won't click on the wrong one? Sure don't want to mess up
anything.

You are going to do a big mistake.
Throw away MSN Messenger and keep Windows Messenger !

Just removing the shortcut (the "button") won't remove the program and won't mess anything
up. To do so, just right-click on it, and choose Delete.
