Remove toolbar from list and view (Word 2003)

I have a toolbar installed by Net Snippets that insists on popping up right
in the center of every document I open. I close the damned thing and save
and the next time I open, there it is. I do use Net Snippets, but only for
Internet saves; it is entirely redundant for saving parts of Word documents.
How do I get rid of the damned thing, or at least prevent it from opening by
default? Thanks.

Sorry 'bout that blank post; inadvertently clicked Send.

Anyway, as usual, the Help file is your friend. Within minutes of sending
the OP I hit upon the correct search phrase to locate the procedure in Help.
It's in the Tools|Customize|Toolbars dialog.

Scott:

You may also want to explore renaming or moving any add-ins that may be
generating the toolbar in the first place (if you don't need it inside Word).

Check Tools > Templates and Add-Ins and see if there's a dot file that's
being used to generate the toolbar. You can clear its check box. You can also
find out where it's stored and rename it, or move it out of Word's Startup
folder.

Thanks for the suggestion, Bear. If I run into another stubborn one I'll
give that a shot. In this instance, even after I thought I had fixed it, it
_still_ came back. Then it occurred to me to close all open documents, open
normal.dot by itself, delete the bloody thing from the toolbars list, and
save normal.dot. So far, it hasn't risen from the dead again. ;-)
