Remove setup option from startup

When i restart/startup my pc I get the option to run xp set-up or run windows
xp home edition. Unfortuneatly for me it always chooses setup and if I am not
physically sitting at my pc then I have to restart and choose run windows
home etc.
This option is there because I tried to reinstall but because it won't
recognize my hard drive it won't complete. The problem with that is Sata etc
, however with help on here I managed to fix other problems and don't need
the reinstall afterall.
I would like to remove that option though.
The screen it is in is the blackscreen with the f8 for other options.
Would running just the upgrade xp with my disc take this option out for me?
Thanks
Gayle

Thanks so much Mark. I figured I was missing something simple. It worked of
course. Can I remove the line from edit manual or should I just leave well
enough alone?

As long as the 'default=...' line is as you want it, you can remove any other
line in the [operating systems] section with no problem. Althought it doesn't
apply to you in this case, if you had a dual boot of systems, the system
folders of a system cannot be deleted untill the line for it is gone from
boot.ini, and the system is restarted. It's like what you are doing with the
'setup' line. It is, in effect, a second operating system.
