Remove PDF menu

Excel 2003, MAC Powerbook, OSX

Every time Excel opens, it loads a pdf menu. I manually close it. How can I
stop it from loading in the first place. I try to remove it from the
startup folder, but the system won't allow it.

If it loads up every time you open Excel, could it be an Add-in? if
so, go to tools=>add-ins if it is on the list then uncheck it.
