Remove/hide folders from the Navigation Pane in Outlook 2003

I would like to be able to remove or hide the following folders under my
Mailbox: Calendar, Contacts, Journal, Junk Email, Notes and Tasks.

They take up too much real estate :)

Use the Mail view of the Navigation Pane and you'll not see Calendar,
Contacts, Journal, Notes, or Tasks. You'll see only mail folders. Use the
Calendar View and you'll see only calendar folders. Use the Contacts View
and you'll see only contacts folders. Etc.

Thanks Brian! My "view" icons were missing at the bottom of the Navigation
Pain - I had removed them to try and make more room. As soon as I restored
the mail button and clicked it my view changed to "Mail" :) Now I need to
find out how to remove the Favorite Folders and and the configure area at the
bottom of the Nav Pane.

Thanks again for the help!

You can't remove the "Favorites" section, although you can certainly remove
everything in it. As for the bottom, the smallest you can make it is to
have all the buttons in a single line.

Thanks again Brian! It seems that there were already quite a few forum
posts on the "favorites" topic. Maybe this will be fixed in the next
release ;-)

I'm using this software called HideOutlookFolders
Just install and that's it... No more unwanted folders :thumb:
Just google "easy2sync hide-outlook-folders" for more info
