Remove duplicate personal folders

Can someone tell me how to remove a completely duplicate
set of personal folders. This is actually the same PST
file that is showing up twice in the "all mail folders".
As it is the same file, both are the "default folder" and
hence cannot be removed by the "delete" option. While
this is more of an irritation in email, it is a problem
with contacts as the email address book gets confused and
cannot distinguish. Turning either contacts folder off as
an address book entry causes the address book to not see
either contacts list. Turning both on will give an error
until you select the second contact list from the drop
down.

Confused !

This may work ...
Make sure that the Folder list is displayed in Outlook.

Right-Click over second displayed PST file. There should be an option to
Close the PST file.
