Remove Blue Screen at power on

Hi,

I am designing a custom shell using Shell Prototype Component and Minilogon
components; I have set the cmiShellPath of my starting application in the
extended properties. The image build this way is working fine and my
application is getting started when OS boots, but between the boot time and
the starting application the display shows a blue screen for some times.
I want to know how can I remove this blue screen and have my application to
appear on screen as the first screen display after OS boots.

Hello KM,

Thanks for your reply, Can you please elaborate which registry settings you
are referring to. I have checked the "all user" wallpaper settings for:
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop],"Wallpaper"=Reg_sz:"path to
image", here do I have to set the path as the path of my application program?
I want my XPe device to boot directly with the starting application just as
in case of KIOSK, ATM etc, which is happening in my case but I want to remove
the blue screen which appears immediately after the OS boots and remains
there for some 5-6 seconds, just before my starting application runs.

Thanks & Regards
Roshan.

Roshan,

Your application that runs as shell or some other way has nothing to do with the wallpaper (if no wallpaper image set up the blue
screen you are referring to appears).

Hopefully the "bluescreen" you are referring to is the one that appears *after* the XP Logo screen (the one with the progress bar).
To change that bluescreen with whatever image you'd like to see there please set the registry entry that me and you already
mentioned below. For instance, [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop],"Wallpaper"=Reg_sz:"YOUR_OWN_BITMAP.bmp".

Roshan,

You are likely taking about the "all user" wallpaper.
Here is the tip page describing how you change it (the one you want to change is stored under HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT branch):
