Remove a name from the automatic pop up list

How do I remove a name from the automatic pop up list- i.e. the To: field in
an email. A list pops up and one of the names is no longer valid, so I want
to remove it. The name is not in my contacts.
 
Use your arrow key to highlight it.
Press Delete.
 
I ran into this same problem and found that the solution is quite easy. Type
in whatever makes this name appear in the "pop-up" list. Then, move your
cursor til the name is highlighted and hit the "delete" button on your
keyboard. Tadaa!
