removable storage

When I open Computer Management/Storage/Removable
Storage/Physical Locations, some of the locations are
marked with red tags. Can someone explain what it means?

Not to worry. All the red "X" indicates is that these drives are not currently
present or available for use. These are removable devices, meaning that they
could be swapped in/out of the computer at any given time. Also, the red "X"
would indicate a device that had been previously installed but has since been
replaced or removed.
