How do I connect to my PC (upstairs-in my house), using my laptop
(downstairs-on the wireless) through Remote Desktop.
My PC is connected with the DSL line that is feeding my wireless signal.

*If your host machine (one you are trying to connect to) has Windows XP
Professional (or some superset version) or Windows Server 2000 (and you have
enabled terminal services) or Windows Server 2003 or above...

*If remote desktop has been enabled on the host machine...

*If your host machine's software firewall has been configured to allow
remote desktop through...

*If your user on the host machine has a password and is in the correct group
to allow them to use Remote Desktop...

*If you know the internal IP address of the host machine...

Then you merely use the remote desktop client on your other machine to
connect to the IP address of the host machine - given that both machines are
on the same network. Notice that when you connect to a Windows XP
Professional (or superset version) host machine - anyone logged into said
machine will be logged out - unless they happen to be logged in with the
same username/password set that you log in with - and then you merely take
over their session.
