remotely connecting to registry

Using WinXP PRO SP1. When remotely trying to connect to a
users registry, i get the following:
Cannot open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE: Error while opening key.

On her machine i have set up the following:
Administrator on the domain with admin rights
Administrator on the local computer with admin rights
The user on the domain with admin rights
The user on the local computer with admin rights.

I can connect to other computer's registry but not this
one.
Any ideas?

go to that machine and as a local administrator open regedt32 and check the
permissions on that registry key. compare with another machine that you can
access. maybe it is different than the normal default for some reason.
