RemoteDesktopPermissions

Not sure if this forum is the one for this but what needs
to be done regarding using Remote Desktop in a company
wide situation. Currently we use VNC which works fine but
it would be much more effcient & feasable to use Remote
Desktop. Do you control Remote Desktop with Group Policy
& how do you limit regular users through group in Active
Directory? What needs to be set on the local station for
administrators only to have access? Thanks in advance.

I don't personally use RD in a domain environment, so I would look closely at the XP Resource Kit
Chapter 8 online at...

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/pree_rem_iusk.asp

That should give you good insight into using RD. Basically you can limit RD use to Administrators or
user accounts with Administrator privileges. All of this can be managed via Group Policies...

Post back if you have further questions. The MVPs that do this in a domain environment will be glad
to answer your questions...
