remote wont work

I'm getting a message "remote host name could not be
resolved" message.
How do I find out what this means? Also where can I go to
trouble shoot and find out why I can't connect with my
Sister's laptop?

Go to the command prompt and enter c:\ipconfig

It will give you your ip address.

Or goto www.whatismyip.com and it should provide it as
well.

The IP addresses are also found in the headers of pop3/smtp email messages.
