Remote Tab on System properties - Windows 2003

I

Ian Bayly

There was a very helpful post some weeks ago referring to
http://www.visualwin.com/Enable-RD/

The diagrams forming part of this post show, on System properties - Remote,
a button "Select Remote Users"
On my Windows 2003 server I have no such button. I do have however, a Note:
To further configure this Terminal Server, use group policy or Terminal
Service Configuration Tool.

Where did my Remote Desktop get to and why did the Terminal Server message
appear?

TIA

When you installed Windows 2003 Server, did you install Terminal
Services (via Add/Remove Windows Components)? If so, you are
operating under Terminal Services control and Remote Desktop is
hidden... If you don't want to run a Terminal Services environment,
remove this component and Remote Desktop should reappear as an option.
