remote support software?

i am looking for a remote control software that will let me connect to
client computers to troubleshoot their systems
support for windows 98, 2000, xp, vista is a must (unix/linux/mac is
not necessary)
i have looked at logmeinresuce, webex remote support, and
4remotesupport
i would appreciate any recommendations
(vnc is not an option since all clients are behind a firewall and I
cannot get them to open a port through the firewall)

thanks!

UltraVNC Single Click might work for you. It creates a reverse tunnel so you
can access the PC through its firewall.

I don't believe UltraVNC works on Vista yet, although I could be wrong about
that...

If your running Vista Enterprise, Business or Ultimate look at using Remote
Desktop...

Don't know if this has been suggested yet but a friend of mine really like
logmein.com. I've personnaly not used it but he uses it extensively. The
remote computer attaches to a web server via port 80, then in turn you log
into the web server and can remotely access all your computers. I believe
it is a free service also but I'm not sure.

Just a thought,
Linn

Hi,

You can have a look to http://www.remote-instant-viewer.com

a web technology based tool to view any screen remotely.

Very useful to help someone and "Vista ready".
I've never experienced any connection problem (it works through any
firewall, gateway...).

One connection free per week, no registration, and no software to
install.

Warning : no remote control, only remote view.

Hi,

why don't u try Bomgar. We are using it and have found it to be quite
satisfactory. Even it can be provided behind a NAT or a tough firewall
as Zone Alarm. Do inform me if you require a demo.
