Remote Site Question

Jeff

I have a user who typically works only at our main site. However, he is
working this week at a remote site. When he logs in at the remote site, he
gets the local ip address for his PC which corresponds to the subnet object
for that AD site. But when he logs in to his PC he still authenticates
against a DC at our main site.

Is this behavior expected?

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes, especially if he is using a roaming or mandatory
profile that is being downloaded from his home directory
that is located at the main site. Search the TechNet to
find the article that tells how to force a user to be
authenticated from a specific DC. I remember doing that
in the NT 4.0 world, but not in the W2K world.
