remote procedure call - problem in XP?

I'm not sure if this is a outlook problem, but I think so. Im using windows
XP and outlook 2000. When starting outlook and "looking for mail" after a
minute or two I get an error from the system:

(translated from norwegian:

The machine will close down, due to a failure.
The remote Procedure call did not end normally

After a minute the machine close down.

Any help appreciated.
