Remote Procedure Call error message

HELP

My computer keeps shutting down with the following error
message...

Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call
(RPC) service terminated unexpectedly

Anyone out there know how to stop this happening.......

You are infected with the blaster worm or one of it's variants.

Go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_qr.htm#rpc and download the removal
tool.
Run the tool to remove the worm,then follow the onscreen prompts to download
the patch.
Make sure you download the 32bit patch if you are running XP.


If you are having trouble staying up to get the patch and removal tool:
When the shutdown prompt appears,go to start/run and type
shutdown -a to abort the shutdown process to allow you to stay up and
online.

Your computer is now infected with the W32.Blaster.Worm or
one of its variants. This happened because you have not
been using an internet connection firewall and have
apparently neglected to install the critical updates
available at the Windows Update website.

If your computer is constantly attempting to shutdown
or reboot, quickly go to:

Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
This opens the Command Prompt window.

Then type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.

This should halt the rebooting problem.

spyware, trojans, etc.. you may have on your system).)

Special note if you use AOL:
America Online installs its own connection settings that
override
the ones that come with Windows XP. America Online's
connection settings don't include a way to turn on Windows
XP's
built-in firewall.

If you are getting messages about the system being shutdown in x amount of
seconds and RPC is mentioned, it is likely that your system is infected
with the Blaster Worm.

To abort the shutdown use Start> Run and type in
shutdown -a

Then see the references below for more information about what it is, how to
remove it and how to protect your system against future infection.
