remote networking

in my small business i want to connect from our home to the computers in our
office, i tried the VPN set up in windows but to no avail. Were running WinXP
pro & have no problem networking in the same building, but the remote
connection is no deal. we use a router at the home & another router @ the
office. i tried turning off our firewall on each of the computers, but no
dice. I am thinking the router is blocking access. Thanks for leading me in
the directions for solutions

A Windows PPTP VPN will require you to forward port 1723 to the VPN
server at work. On both routers, you may also need to enable "VPN
Passthrough" or "GRE Protocol 43".

thanks Kurt, i will give this a shot

Also, remember you'll be using the public IP address of the router at
work when connecting from home.
