Remote mapping issues

P

Patrick

We have users with Win2k and XP pro laptops who connect
remotley to our network via broadband internet connection
and the windows VPN pptp connection option in "Make new
Connection" wizard

We have a Cisco PIX 515 firewall set up and i've set up
a single pptp logon id and password to get them
through the firewall and this works fine. Problem is the
drive mappings in their login scripts do not run and when
I have them manually map they cannot use the server name
in the path - only the internal ip address of the server.

I'd like the mapping process automated (to run from the
login scripts) when they connect remotly as opposed to
manual mapping.

What am I missing here?
Thanks in advance!!!

A bit hard to follow if you delete the history of the thread.

Did you get an answer to your question? If so, would you mind sharing? I
have a similar situation using SBS 2000. Users can login and connect to the
Server but cannot map a drive to the common folder. What am I doing wrong?
