Remote Keyboard for Windows does not detect in Vista Basic

Help,
Question: does the keyboard work with Vista basic, and if so how can I get
the latest drivers for it.?
I am running Windows Vista basic and would like to use the 'Remote Keyboard
for Windows® XP Media Center Edition'.
When I first installed it, it did work until I rebooted the pc. now it
detects the drivers however does not work at all.
I try and go and get the latest updates from msupdates page however it does
not let me as I do not have the media centre edition.

Mitch I think you have hit the nail on hte head...in order for the remote
keyboard to work I am almost certain you have to have Media Center somewhere
within your software...I use Vista Ultimate and indded the Remote Keyboard
works fine....so probably and upgrade or an old fashioned keyboard.
