Remote Desktop Web Connection

Is this by default using VPN?
Working on a Windows 2003 Server and don't know what I am doing *yet*.
Trying to figure out whether VPN is configured and being used.
RAS is installed, but the IP is set to DHCP, and there is *not* a DHCP
server on the network. I also used RDWC to access the server and did
not see an active connection in the RAS settings. So I must conclude
that when the enduser uses RDWC via the web browser this is not a VPN
connection and I assume this is not secure over the Internet?
TIA,
Frank

What type of IP address do you get over the VPN?

You can tell the RAS server to assign IP addresses itself in lieu of
using a DHCP Server...
