Remote Desktop via 2 wireless laptops

I am having trouble remotely connected from one wireless laptop to another
wireless laptop. The problem is, when I try to connect, the computer I'm
connected to gets logged off. Therefore my internet connection gets closed,
and the remote connection times out. Is there any way to circumvent this?

Change the way users log onto your computer. Go into User Accounts in the
Control Panel. In the logon and logoff options, check the "Use fast user
switching".

No luck. My wireless adapter still disconnects when I'm logged out. Granted,
none of the programs themselves are closed, but the internet connection is
still terminated. Thanks for the suggestion though.
