Project from Remote Computer

I am new to Remote Desktop usage. Here is what I want to do.

I have two computers and a wireless router and a overhead projector.

I want to connect to computer1 whic is connected to wireless router
using ethernet cable. This computer is also connected to the projector.

I want to control this computer from computer2 (a laptop). This laptop
is connected to wireless router wirelessly.

My problem is if I use remote desktop to connect to computer 1 from
laptop then it locks display on computer1 and only show the computer1
desktop on laptop. Thus projector show empty screen.

I have not tried net meeting Remote desktop. Does anyone know if I am
going to have the same problem what I am having using Windows xp Remote
Desktop or will this work. If this will not work then what are my
options.

Any help is greatly apprecited.
