Is there any way to access a Win2K machine from a WinXP
machine via Remote Desktop?

Not a Windows 2000 Professional machine.

You can use NetMeeting's Remote Desktop Sharing feature, which is available
or built-in to both, and is encrypted. On XP, do Start, Run, conf <enter>
to get NetMeeting going.

Or you could use UltraVNC or your VNC implementation of choice.

Only if it is a Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server machine.
