Remote Desktop Through Proxy

Michael

OK, I am trying to connect to my home machine from work but am running into
some problems I was hoping someone could help with. I am not sure what type
of proxy we are using here at work but I can connect remotely using every
port currently open except port 80 which will soon be the only port open. I
have one machine at home acting as the rdp we client server on port 80 with
the tsweb default.htm page edited to use port 80 as well. I have another
machine (one I want to log into) with rdp set to listen on port 80. Outside
of my work proxy/firewall I can connect remotely with no problems using port
80. From within my work proxy I can view the tsweb page but cannot connect.
As I said earlier though I can change the rdp listen port to another open
port (119, 23, etc.) and can connect from work fine just not when rdp is
listening on port 80. I also tried the stand alone client and still could
not connect. Is rdp sending data in a way my work proxy does not like or
expect coming through port 80? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

Remote Desktop will not work over a http proxy server.. The only
solution for you would be to use a http tunnel provider
(http://www.http-tunnel.com, etc)
