Remote Desktop Error when opening

S

Scott

Hello all,
I just started to have a problem on my XP Pro machine that I am not sure how
to fix. I am trying to use the TS Client for XP to connect to a remote
computer but am getting the error "The pre-release version of Remote Desktop
Connection has expired. To download the full version of Remote Desktop
Connection, go to Windows Update or contact your system administrator."

I am using version 6 of the TS Client on my XP Pro machine. Is it a problem
that I installed the service pack 3 for Windows XP? I have tried to reinstall
version 6 to get it to work but gave me the error that a newer version is
installed. Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Well,

I got it working again by uninstalling SP3. Not sure if that was a real fix
or not but it seems to work fine on my laptop for now. Anyone have any ideas,
let me know.

Thanks.

There is a XP SP3 refresh download you can install to fix this issue...
