Remote Desktop Connections

I have recently tried to connect to my dad's PC. We Both
have XP Pro. I am able to get to the log in screen and
conenct to it...but when ever i enter in the username and
password and press ok....the remote desktop program just
basically exits out of that and goes back to my desktop
and does nothing.

my dad's PC isent firewalled...and niether am I. the
remote option in system properties is enabled on his PC
also.....

Any help would be greatly respected.

Paul,

What account are you trying to logon with to your dad's PC? Is there
someone already logged to your dad's PC when you try to remote in? Are
there any events in Event Viewer on either your machine or your dad's
machine that talk about Terminal Services or Remote Desktop?
