Remote assistance

Jason

When I try to do a remote assistance, I get an error right away..."Remote
Assistance failed. Pleae try again" In the event log this is the error I
get....

The description for Event ID ( 7036 ) in Source ( Service Control Manager )
cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer.
You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description;
see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the
event: Remote Access Connection Manager, running.

I'm guessing I missed a component in TA, but what component would that be?

Hi Jason -

I added the following components to my hardware configuration and with
Windows Logon, Explorer Shell, and the file systems - an auto check
dependencies allowed the system to accept Remote Assistance invitations
(Created on the system VIA the Help && Support app on the start menu). This
includes taking control from the "Technician" as well as sending files.

a.. Remote Assistance Automation Framework
b.. Remote Assistance Channel
c.. TCP/IP Networking with File Sharing and Client For MS Networks
d.. Terminal Services Remote Assistance Component
Hope this helps.

Cheers.
