Remote Assistance Works Intra but not Internet

I have been able to work remote assistance up until about 2 weeks ago. Both
intra and internet. I can still do intranet, but for some reason I cannot
respond to requests sent via internet. Any suggestions or thoughts would be
greatly appreciated. No settings have been changed, on either my end or the
other end. No new routers (actually, we bypassed all routers and went
directly from the modems to the computers to try). I use Vista Ultimate, and
the other end is using Windows XP Home, and Windows XP Pro.

Firewall changes seem like the next most likely culprit. Try disabling all
the firewall(s) on one or both sides to see if you can then make a
connection.

Sorry, I apologize for forgetting. Both sides also completely disabled their
firewalls.
