Remote Assistance Problem

A

Arthur Richards

I am trying to use my PC ( XP Home ) to assist a remote PC. I only have the
XP firewall.

1. The remote people sent me a Remote Assistance email and password, but
when I click on the attachment I get an error message -

'Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the remote
host name could not be resolved. Please try again'.

I did but couldn't make the connection.

2. I also tried clicking the 'Invite someone to help you' arrow on the
Remote Assistance help screen but I get the message -

'Your Current System settings prevent you from sending an invitation'

3. Messenger is not installed on my PC. Could this be the problem?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Arthur
