Reminders Window stays minimized on task bar

Hello,

I'm using Outlook 2003. The reminders window is minimized on my task bar and
I cannot maximize to see any of the reminders.

When I click on it, it seems to fly off to the right of my screen. If I
right click on it, I can close it, I can click on minimize or maximize but
again, it seems to go to the right and off my screen. I don't have anything
else maximized so it's not being covered up by another program.

I ran "Detect and Repair" in Outlook but I'm still having this problem. My
"New Mail Alerts" window is popping up fine.

The task bar tab currently says I have "6 Reminders" but I don't know what
any of them are since I get the window to pop up...

Any suggestions??
Thanks!
Cheryl

Cheryl:

I have a very similar problem except mine does it with the Outlook window as
well as the Reminders window. So, I can't even open Outlook to try to
troubleshoot it. Have you gotten any replies? I am desperate for any ideas.
I am baffled as to what to do.

Thanks,

Don Flynn

I have one similar where the reminder box opens maximized but doesn't give
the option of minimizing. Using Outlook 2003. How do I fix this?

A little late, but hopefully of use to some of you:
1. Close outlook.
2. Open Task Manager and make sure the 'Outlook.exe' process is ended.
3. Start -> Run -> outlook /cleanreminders
4. Close and reopen Outlook. Give it five or ten minutes and the reminders
should work again.

I tried the fix below but it would not work. I received the following
message:
---Windows cannot find "C:\Program Files|Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE"\cleanreminders. make sure you typed the name
correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button,
and then click Search.
Is there another way or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

It'll work just fine if you run 'outlook /cleanreminders'

It's not a directory, it's a parameter for the command, hence forward slash
rather than backslash.

And there must be a space between "outlook.exe" and "/cleanreminders".
