Reminders that just won't go away

I have a use that keeps getting a reminder of an appointment that happened
May 24, 2002 12:00PM

It was a recurring appointment from what I can tell, and when you click on
Open this Item on the reminder popup the error is:

Cannot open the item for this reminder. You changed one of the recurrences
of this item, and this instance no longer exists. Close any open items and
try again.

There are no other open items.

If you click Dismiss, it comes back again tomorrow.

Any ideas of how to get rid of it??

think I found the appointment and I think that did it. We will find
out for sure tomorrow at noon...

I also tried the /cleanreminders switch, but nothing came back to
indicate that outlook had done anything.

The /cleanreminders switch will rid you of reminders that are no longer
associated with existing calendar entries. It won't help in the case of a
real calendar entry with a still-active reminder.
