Reminders for Tasks in a Public Folder

Hi, I have set up a Public Folder for task items. Only one
department has permission for this folder.

The problem is that reminders cannot be set for tasks in
this folder. Is there a way in which I can enable
reminders to be set for these tasks - 'yes' everyone in
the department, ie those will permission to this public
folder will get these reminder displays.

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated

Reminders will only fire from the default Calendar, Tasks, Contacts
and Inbox folders. For anything else you would need a 3rd party addin
like my Reminder Manager or have to code it yourself. Coding it
requires lots of use of undocumented MAPI properties and a lot of
work. Reminder Manager took me almost 2 years to code since I wanted
it compatible with all versions of Outlook from Outlook 2000 on up.
