Reminders do not dismiss

I have a few users that are getting appointment reminders
popping up every Monday. It appears to just be recurring
reminders (birthdays, anniversarys). But they all pop up
when they first open outlook on Monday. Even ones that are
not scheduled for now.

I have tried /cleanreminders and even deleting the mailbox
and recreating it.

Any ideas?

We are running Outlook and Exchange 2000.

If you change the view of the calendar to view "By
Category" then find the curpted appointment then close
Outlook and open it again and the problem will be fixed.
