I try to dismiss appointments, but they keep reappearing

I've tried run > outlook.exe /cleanreminders, but
I still have the same problem. The reminders list keeps growing. I try to
dismiss the old appointment, but they come back to an ever growing list that
keeps popping up. I've restarted, I've run the command above, but no go. I'm
totally frustrated

Thanks for responding and sorry for not providing these details in my
earlier post. I'm running Window XP, Office 2007. I download mail via pop
(not imap).

When you reboot the computer, start outlook using the outlook.exe
/cleanreminders switch. This will insure that outlook is not left running in
the background, which would prevent the switch from working.

Hi Diane,

I've tried rebooting and using the cleanreminder switch. It just doesn't
work. I've made sure the app is not running in the background by clicking
ctrl-alt-delete and viewing processes. Outlook does not show up in the list
of processes. I click start-run-and enter the cleanreminder command. Outlook
opens and then my reminders pop up with the same ever-growing list. Ugh. what
do you recommend?

Thanks for helping!!
