Reminders will not be dismissed

John Ruff

Software: Outlook 2003 SP3, WindowsXP SP2.

One of our users cannot dismiss reminders...they keep returning. This is not
an issue with the rest of our employees.

I've run the command-line switch /CleanReminders but it does not solve the
problem; nor does reapiring or uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2003.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

See this: http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/deletereadreceipt.htm . In the
second picture on that page, you'll see the Reminders folder. Open that
folder and you should see the stuck reminders, which you can delete.

Go to TOOLS, Trust Center, click GO on COM addins and disable the Addins that
are 3rd party as a starting point.

Leave Outlook in this state until the issue occurs/ or doesn't occur within
a reason amount of time.

Add them back in one at a time for each testing time period until you
identify which Addin is causing the issue.

We used this same technic to narrow down this very issue.
